New York — February 4, 2004 — The Shelby Group, LLC announced today that Valassis, a marketing services and Connective Media company, partnered with The Shelby Group LLC to deploy Ariba Spend Management software and solutions.
Valassis said it processed its first purchase requisition, obtained approval via Ariba Buyer v8.1, submitted a purchase order through the Ariba Supplier Network and paid its vendor within 60 days of installing the software.
James Kandilas, managing partner at The Shelby Group, said the implementation of the newest version of Ariba Spend Management software was one of the first of its kind.
"The Valassis Executive Management Team set a bold standard for contract compliance and electronic payment by deciding to execute virtually 100 percent of its catalog spend via integrated settlement," Kandilas commented.
