USSI sees client satisfaction rise after tapping Choice Logistics' services

New York — March 9, 2004 — United Service Source Inc. (USSI), a provider of installation and maintenance services in the commercial and government sectors, has realized a significant increase in customer retention, satisfaction and expansion since tapping Choice Logistics' global network of logistics services, Choice announced this week.

USSI deploys and services MATV, CATV, VSAT, microwave and radio network systems, and it designs and integrates LAN/WAN networks, servicing public- and private-sector clients.

Historically, USSI managed its logistics operations internally, ultimately tying up resources to non-revenue generating activity. Since outsourcing to Choice, USSI has improved its service level agreements (SLAs) by 100 percent, increased its overall customer satisfaction rating by 50 percent and realized a 50 percent decrease in annual financial exposure, according to the Choice announcement.

Choice is a global provider of outsourced logistics and integrated inventory management solutions, operating 240-plus strategic stocking locations (SSLs) around the world and logistics services for direct management of mission-critical inventory assets.

The logistics service provider said its distribution model has allowed for quicker turnaround times, consistently exceeding customer expectations and delivering a more rapid return on investment for both USSI and its clients.

"Surpassing all expectations of our customers is the hallmark and mission of USSI," said Christopher Vataj, chief financial officer at USSI. "Choice's superior customer service, logistics infrastructure and ability to consistently deliver allowed our team to focus on our core competencies, which, in turn, has let us grow exponentially and has ensured that our clients receive prompt reliable service at a fair price."

Vataj added that USSI's customers also have benefited from reduced exposure and better visibility into production requirements and field allocated product.

"USSI made an important and strategic investment in the future of their company by selecting Choice to manage its logistics operations," said John Miller, vice president of business development at Choice. "The results that USSI is realizing and passing on to its client base are a direct result of the unparalleled commitment they have to customer service."
