Tewksbury, MA — April 2, 2004 — Yantra Corporation, a provider of fulfillment solutions, this week said it was taking steps to strengthen its presence in the distribution industry, pointing to its solutions focused on distributors' key business issues and the appointment of an industry veteran to drive growth in this sector.

In today's dynamic marketplace, wholesalers and distribution-intensive organizations are experiencing a blend of competitive, economic and technological forces that are causing them to reevaluate how they do business, according to Yantra. The provider said its solutions can help distributors transform their business through operational innovation, allowing them to address new economic and competitive challenges.

Yantra's Distribution Suite includes Networked Order Fulfillment and Warehouse Management, Master Distribution, Integrated Supply and Global Inventory Visibility. For distributors, Yantra offers applications for Inbound Inventory Synchronization, Networked Warehouse Management and Reverse Logistics. Companies can use the suite as a whole or as individual solutions to address functional business processes, the provider said.

Yantra's wholesale distribution customers include SYSCO Corporation, School Specialty, CellStar and ScanSource. Yantra also provides solutions to distribution-intensive consumer goods organizations, including Thomson, Motorola, Texas Instruments, Rockport and Liz Claiborne Shoes.

To spearhead Yantra's growth in the distribution industry, the company has named Jim Caudill as vice president for distribution industry. Caudill has spent more than 15 years in the supply chain industry at organizations such as i2, NxTrend/UDS and IMI. Reporting to Yantra's senior vice president and chief marketing officer, Michael Grandinetti, Caudill is responsible for distribution product direction and industry-related marketing initiatives.
