Marlborough, MA — June 4, 2004 — Online pharmacy drugstore.com is set to use an enterprise shipping solution from Kewill to provide centralized shipping management and to support the company's customer service levels.

drugstore.com is an online provider of health, beauty, vision and pharmacy goods for consumers. With peak daily shipping volumes reaching 17,000 items and first quarter 2004 sales growing 48 percent year-over-year, the company went looking for an enterprise solution to help maintain its supply chain efficiency and customer service.

As part of an overall strategy to provide high customer service through the use of technology, drugstore.com is incorporating Kewill's recently acquired DI Server enterprise shipping solution into its supply chain. DI Server was specifically designed from the ground up with high-volume customer environments in mind, according to Kewill.

"We believe our customer focus is a key competitive advantage," said Lorne Brockway, director of IT support at drugstore.com, inc. "We needed a solution that scales with our growth and can be integrated tightly into our customer-centric supply chain. Furthermore, the coordination and flexibility that DI Server offers will help us meet customer delivery deadlines while optimizing shipping costs."

Said Mike Kurgan, chief strategy officer of Kewill Solutions North America, "Coupling the new DI Server technology and our expertise in shipping with their strengths in supply chain will help them extend their lead and get the visibility required to out-service their customers."

Kewill's other customers include such brick-and-mortar companies as Federal Express, Pratt & Whitney, Mazda, Sainsbury's, Xerox and Toys R Us.
