Supply chain solution provider seeks flexibility in integration

Downers Grove, IL — June 9, 2004 — Integrated Warehousing Solutions, LLC, a provider of supply chain execution solutions, announced today that it has made a strategic selection of the Sonic Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) product from Sonic Software, a division of Progress Software of Bedford, Mass.

Sonic is the author of Sonic ESB, which is an enterprise service bus that enables companies to integrate applications across the enterprise using a standards-based, server-oriented architecture (SOA). The provider said ESB overcomes the limitations of integration brokers and application servers to create an event-driven enterprise SOA that can adapt to changing business requirements.

Sonic Software's integration products are built on an ESB with a standards-based distributed infrastructure that connects applications and orchestrates business processes across the extended enterprise.

Carl Brewer, president of IWS, said that his company expects to expand its integration reach, reduce integration costs and enhance its solutions' agility by using Sonic's product.

"The Sonic ESB will allow us to easily integrate the IRMS Warehouse Management System with Certified interfaces to over 200 [enterprise resource planning (ERP), supply chain management (SCM) and customer relationship management (CRM)] applications," he said. "The scope of this product is limitless and provides us with the flexibility to integrate with almost any other enterprise system on the market very easily and in a cost-effective way."
