Pittsburgh, PA — July 30, 2004 — Chemical industry distributor Aceto Corporation is set to implement an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system from mid-market solution specialist Adonix as part of an initiative to establish an integrated, next-generation software platform to help facilitate its growth-minded business model.

Publicly traded Aceto is a global player in the distribution and marketing of chemicals, colorants, pharmaceuticals, biochemicals, nutritionals and institutional sanitary supplies. Headquartered in Lake Success, N.Y., with subsidiaries and operations locally and internationally in Europe and Asia, Aceto had 2003 revenues of around $270 million.

The company is set to implement Adonix's X3 solution for its global specialty chemicals distribution and importing operations. Adonix said that X3 is a complete enterprise solution designed to accommodate the complex mixed-mode distribution requirements of multi-national chemical and pharmaceutical environments.

X3 combines order fulfillment and inventory allocation capabilities with industry-specific functionality that manages shelf life, lot tracking, quality assurance and FDA regulatory compliance, according to Adonix. The system's multinational design helps global companies manage the complexities of dealing in different currencies, legislations and languages, and warehouse management, importation, business intelligence and accounting functionality are also integrated to round out the system, the solution provider said.

"Our goal is to implement a system that provides us with broader, deeper and more efficient processing capabilities without sacrificing business-critical functionality," said Terry Steinberg, chief information officer at Aceto. "Adonix X3 offered the best combination of functionality, technology, value and implementation methodology of the systems we evaluated, and has the flexibility and scalability we'll need to support our business expansion and evolving business model."
