Automaker selects sourcing solutions to drive spend management

Sunnyvale, CA — August 2, 2004 — Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., a global provider of innovative automotive products and services, sign an agreement today with spend management solution provider Ariba Inc. Under the terms of the agreement, Nissan said it will use Ariba sourcing solutions to drive global spend management initiatives across its operations in Japan, North America and Europe.

Under the terms of the agreement, Nissan will use Ariba solutions to source a wide range of goods and services. Nissan will also use Ariba's supply management services, acquired following the merger with FreeMarkets, including its Buyer and Supplier Training and Auction Engineering offerings.
