Chem carrier seeks increased efficiencies, lower days sales outstanding with transportation management system from TMW

Beachwood, OH — August 16, 2004 — Service Transport Company, a transporter of bulk liquids and chemicals throughout the United States, has selected TMW Systems' TMWSuite as the company's transportation management software as part of an initiative to increase efficiencies and reduce its days sales outstanding.

Service Transport Company chose TMWSuite following a lengthy evaluation process of enterprise software packages.

"We wanted to buy an off-the-shelf solution that would require minimal customization but would still deliver the biggest bang for our investment," said Jim Brown, vice president of operations for Houston-based Service Transport. "We believe TMWSuite can provide us with maximum benefits because it addresses every area of our operation."

Brown added that the company believes that the software solution and all the associated training will pay for itself in added efficiencies in less than 12 months.

TMW said that its TMWSuite provides transportation companies and private fleets with an integrated suite of operations management software and services to address the end-to-end transportation process from order entry through settlement. The solution provider said that TMWSuite adapts to the customer's business rules, allowing the company to realize improved efficiencies and maximize profits, strengthen customer communication and enhance driver relationships.

Service Transport is using TMWSuite as a gateway for integrating information from all of its systems, including order entry, rating/invoicing, dispatch and maintenance. With real-time visibility to revenue, orders and reports, the carrier expects to decrease days sales outstanding (DSO) to within five days of delivery. Other goals include a significant increase in loaded miles and decreased labor costs.

"TMWSuite's proven ability to track the multitude of requirements and variables associated with the complex bulk transportation segment will help enable Service Transport to not only fulfill operational requirements but also realize process efficiencies at the same time," said Tom Weisz, founder and CEO of TMW Systems.

Service Transport Company expects to complete the entire TMWSuite implementation process in less than five months.
