Tokyo and Atlanta — August 18, 2004 — Manhattan Associates K. K., a subsidiary of Manhattan Associates Inc., said it has been selected by Nippon Yusen K. K. (NYK Line), a leading forwarder and logistics mega carrier, to provide its Warehouse Management for Windows solution in NYK Line's distribution centers (DCs) throughout China.

NYK Line, which operates worldwide, required centralized management of its sites in China in order to gain better visibility into its inventory and more quickly respond to customer demand. By utilizing one system to track all of its goods, NYK Line will be able to trace by lot, item and stock-keeping unit (SKU) number, providing more accurate freight tracking.

Additionally, should there be a change in the delivery date or - location, NYK Line can respond in real-time and ensure that goods are delivered. NYK Line said it teamed with Manhattan Associates because of its experience in this field and its ability to help shorten lead times and reduce our total cost of ownership.

"In order to be successful as a global company, it is critical for us to have visibility into our entire supply chain network," said Takao Kusakari, chairman of NYK Line.

Manhattan Associates' Warehouse Management for Windows solution is part of the company's Integrated Logistics Solutions platform. Built on the Microsoft .NET platform, the solution enables companies to manage processes that take place in the DC from receiving to shipping.

Manhattan Associates said its warehouse management functionality extends the scope of traditional warehouse solutions to include radio frequency identification (RFID) compliance, Web- based order entry, and inventory tracking and trace functionality.

Arnold Consengco, representative director of Manhattan Associates K. K., commented, "We are excited to be working with such a solid company to help them deliver the highest levels of customer service."

NYK Line has already gone live at its Shanghai location and its Wuxi and Suzhou facilities are scheduled to follow.
