Offer integrated supply chain execution, automated data collection and RFID solutions
Columbia, MD — October 27, 2004 — PEAK Technologies today announced a new alliance with ClearOrbit, the provider of real-time supply chain execution (SCE) software solutions.
PEAK is an international provider of automatic identification/data collection (AIDC) solutions, enterprise mobility and ongoing support services. The alliance is expected to combine PEAK's capability for enterprise data capture, printing and systems integration with ClearOrbit's ability to provide supply chain execution to enterprise resource planning (ERP) users.
Under the terms of the agreement, PEAK is authorized to resell ClearOrbit's software, and ClearOrbit becomes a Solutions Partner under the PEAK Enterprise Partner Program. PEAK said its Enterprise Partner Program provides a framework to move solutions to the marketplace with companies whose products, processes and people are inline with PEAK's strategy and culture.
ClearOrbit said that over 250 manufacturers and distributors use its products to enable real-time supply chain execution solutions, which are integrated to their corporate ERP system. The alliance will enable these legacy customers, along with new customers, to use the combined solution for workflow process optimization, wireless hardware/software integration, and automated data collection.
PEAK and ClearOrbit also offer integrated radio frequency identification (RFID) solutions that feature interoperability of both RFID and bar code, are compliant with the RFID programs of such customers as Wal-Mart and the Department of Defense, and can accomplish such tasks as printing RFID tags over the Internet in remote or drop-ship manufacturer environments.
