Expands interconnectivity with small-to-midsize accounting software
Westborough, MA November 4, 2004 RedTail Solutions Inc., a provider of integrated outsourced electronic data interchange (EDI) services for small to midsize suppliers, today announced the availability of its outsourced EDI service for AccountMate Software's business accounting solution.
AccountMate offers modifiable source code accounting software for small and mid-sized businesses. RedTail's service-based solution enables suppliers to meet the requirements for electronic trading required by large enterprises in the retail, automotive and distribution segments without having to make their own investment in infrastructure or specialized expertise.
RedTail has recently begun supplying this integrated EDI service with AccountMate to a number of new AccountMate customers, including a bedding manufacturer, a manufacturer of insect and rodent control products, and a number of other manufacturing and distribution companies.
According to Bill Martin, operations manager of Westminster Inc. an Atlanta-area importer and distributor of games, toys and novelties for small to large retailers, "The RedTail EDI service was a leap forward for us. Not only did we remove the burden and expense of owning and managing our day-to-day EDI activities with our customers, but because of the RedTail AccountMate integration, we eliminated any chance for data entry errors of EDI transactions into our AccountMate system."

RedTail developed its newest service interface to AccountMate in conjunction with New Jersey-based Figtree Consulting Inc., an AccountMate reseller and developer that will continue to maintain and enhance it. According to Steve Rosenstein, founder and co-owner of Figtree Consulting, "Until now AccountMate users have had only one or two marginal solutions to comply with their key customers' requirements for electronic trading. Now they have capabilities through the RedTail service and systems as well as integration with their AccountMate system."
