Richardson, TX September 16, 2003 GlobeRanger, a provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) and mobility software solutions, and supply chain management solutions provider OMI International announced they have entered into a technology sharing original equipment manufacturer agreement.

Under the terms of the OEM agreement, OMI stated its intent to resell GlobeRanger's Inbound/Outbound wireless application branded as SupplyVision for corporations needing real-time visibility and management control of pickup and delivery operations. OMI said some of the application's capabilities include real-time, item-level visibility, electronic proof of delivery, on-site reconciliation, exceptions monitoring and alerts based on business rules, and Web-based reporting.

With the OEM agreement, OMI said it would also have the ability to develop, deploy and manage RFID solutions on GlobeRanger's iMotion platform.

"Many of our customers are starting to conduct trials with RFID technology, and we want to be there to support them with solutions design and integration with our existing systems," said Gerry Lisee, executive vice-president of OMI. "GlobeRanger's ability to work with multiple data collection technologies from barcode scanners to RFID readers in one application, as well as the wireless functionality, brings our customers a solution with the flexibility to fit their unique operating environment."
