Car care specialist inks five-year deal with 3PL to manage supply chain network, provide transportation and warehousing services

Chicago, IL — November 24, 2004 — Car care specialist Turtle Wax has signed a five-year contract with DSC Logistics to be Turtle Wax's third-party logistics (3PL) provider, managing the company's supply chain solutions for its entire United States distribution network.

Chicago-based Turtle Wax, founded more than 60 years ago, produces the number one selling brand of car care products in the world, with sales in 90 countries.

Under the agreement with DSC, the 3PL's services for Turtle Wax will include full transportation, integrating intermodal transport and centralized warehousing services out of DSC's new, state-of-the-art Joliet Logistics Center, where Turtle Wax will be occupying more than 240,000 square feet.

Beginning next year, DSC will participate in a co-branding campaign, rolling out the DSC and Turtle Wax names and logos together on trucks carrying Turtle Wax products. DSC is headquartered in Des Plaines, Ill., just outside Chicago.

DSC Logistics offers services that range from supply chain analysis and design, strategic solutions-based consulting and business process integration to process improvement and management of logistics operations, such as warehousing, transportation, packaging and fulfillment.
