Communications systems equipment supplier to improve visibility for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
Vienna, VA — November 29, 2004 — Andrew Corp., a global communications systems equipment supplier, said it has selected Approva Corp.'s BizRights to enhance visibility into internal controls and business processes within the SAP R/3 environment.
Section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act requires public companies to attest to the effectiveness of internal controls. As a company utilizing corporate best practices, Andrew Corp. had built a system of internal controls and looked to Approva to provide greater visibility for improved business efficiency and help to meet pending Sarbanes-Oxley deadlines.
Approva's enterprise software product, BizRights, enables users to identify, document, test, manage and monitor business controls in real time. The increased insight into business and financial processes not only facilitates Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, according to Approva, but also increases efficiency and mitigates business risk by identifying exceptions to pre-established business rules.
BizRights reporting tools provide real-time information on internal financial transactions. The "what-if" and workflow capabilities built into BizRights ensure that only the appropriate access is given to authorized users. If the request results in a segregation of duties conflict, BizRights immediately flags it for review.
