Toronto, Ontario — October 16, 2003 — STEELMAN Software Solutions Inc. (SSSI), a manufacturer of Oracle-based products for the steel industry, announced the launch of its new STEELMAN Steel Enterprise Management System Version 4 (SEMS v4). SEMS v4 is an integrated suite of enterprise-wide software solutions for suppliers and processors of steel and other metal products.
The manufacturer said the SEMS v4 solution is designed around three principals: adaptability, reliability and performance. Adaptability refers to the ability to handle metals distribution or production problems, reliability ensures that orders are virtually error free and manufactured to meet quality standards, and performance delivers results to staff and customers.
As an active member of the Oracle Partner Network, STEELMAN said SEMS v4 addresses the requirements of the metals industry, which it claimed are not easily adaptable to enterprise resource planning (ERP) packages. Rather, the SEMS v4 is designed from the ground up to adapt to existing businesses in the metals industry.
Additionally, STEELMAN said its software solutions are designed to meet the needs of manufacturers and suppliers of metals products. STEELMAN'ss suite of Oracle-based products includes Sales Order Management, Product Catalogue, Order Booking, Warehouse Management, Manufacturing Control, and Business Financials. Each product integrates with the others to provide an end-to-end solution.
