Savvion's business process management system to streamline PLM processes
Santa Clara, CA — October 24, 2003 — Visiprise, enterprise manufacturing management systems provider, today announced a licensing agreement with software solution provider Visiprise whereby the company has begun shipping Savvion's business process management (BPM) system as a component of Visiprise Manufacturing.
Savvion said its solutions automate and manage consistent, repeatable business processes. The company claims they also eliminate the need to develop proprietary workflow and event management product components.
Using Savvion BusinessManager, Visiprise said it has added complete workflow, event management and process automation to Visiprise Manufacturing for product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions that are used by companies in the manufacturing industry.
"Savvion allows us to provide manufacturers with a process automation and management environment to configure and track a variety of manufacturing information within the context of the overall product lifecycle — from planning and design to the point of manufacture," said Carter Johnson, Visiprise vice president of Strategy and Business Development.
Visiprise customers include those from the electronics, aerospace, defense and automotive manufacturing industries, including Celestica, Solectron, Raytheon, Sun, Compaq, Rolls Royce, Philips Lighting, Textron, Teradyne, and Kulicke & Soffa.
