LMS to direct inbound, outbound freight; lower LTL and truckload costs

St. Louis — December 4, 2003 — Logistics Management Solutions (LMS), a non-asset-based third-party logistics provider, said it has been selected to provide transportation management services for G.S. Robins, a full-line chemical distributor based in St. Louis.

LMS will direct G.S. Robins' inbound and outbound freight, which includes package, bulk, truckload and less-than-truckload shipments. LMS transportation planners will work directly with G.S. Robins' customer service representatives and terminal personnel to coordinate shipments and ensure on-time deliveries. In addition, LMS hopes to lower G.S. Robins' less-than-truckload and truckload costs.

"This is the first time G.S. Robins has outsourced its transportation function," said Doug Kutz, director of operations for G.S. Robins. "The benefit is twofold: LMS will help cut our transportation costs and provide us with an outsourced solution that allows us to focus on our core business."

LMS is a non-asset-based, third party logistics firm specializing in transportation optimization. Companies such as Monsanto, BASF and The Scotts Co. use LMS for logistics consultation and implementation services.
