Suppliers tapping former IPNet solution to meet retailers' requirements for product data exchange

Atlanta — December 16, 2003 — Inovis, a provider of business commerce automation solutions, has added 60 companies to its installed base of UCCnet customers, the provider announced today.

Many major retailers are requiring suppliers to comply with UCCnet, which provides an open platform for trading partners to exchange product data, and suppliers are turning to solution providers like Inovis to ensure compliance.

New customers of Inovis' BizManager for UCCnet Services solution include Aspen Pet Products, Uniden America Corp, Memorex Products, Prime-Line Products and SIMKAR.

Developed by Inovis' IPNet business unit, BizManager for UCCnet Services (which includes BizSync, MapPack for UCCnet, BizSync Monitor and BizCatalog) is a certified solution supporting UCCnet 2.2.1. The software gathers, validates, manages and publishes item information into the UCCnet GLOBALregistry.

"We needed to get up to speed quickly on the requirements for exchanging information with UCCnet's GLOBALregistry," said Charles Sharp, director of information technology at Aspen Pet Products, which has been an Inovis customer for electronic data interchange (EDI) solutions since 1997. "Inovis came through in a timely manner with information and technology to help us understand how to address requests from major retailers. Thanks to our long-standing relationship, they were very responsive to our own business needs."

"Inovis provided us with a comprehensive solution that will enable us to quickly achieve the mandates for UCCnet item synchronization," said Mike Drzycimski, information systems manager at Uniden Corporate, a manufacturer of consumer electronic products.

"These wins demonstrate the growing confidence in our UCCnet solutions within small to midsize business and large enterprises," asserted Ilaria Derr, president and chief operating officer for Inovis. "We understand that UCCnet compliance is a business critical issue for many suppliers and are committed to providing solutions that make the process fast and easy for them."
