What are the skills that Supply Chain executives need today to ensure that the Supply Chain function has a seat at the table when critical decisions affecting Supply are made within the enterprise?
Bill Michels, CEO of ADR North America and a long-time supply chain guru, discusses the evolution of Supply Chain, the changing role of Supply Chain executives and the new skills that these business leaders must have to drive greater value for their companies.
Michels also describes a strategy for moving a Supply Chain organization to world-class by assessing and improving the skills of key staff within the function — and by taking advantage of third-party service providers when appropriate.

Thanks for producing these Podcasts - it is a useful and easy way to share developments in the field.
On this one, I was hoping (but didn’t) hear anything on the extent to which firms are in need of external professional resources for staffing or consultant services that can augment or extend internal capabilities. As you will see on our website, YRCI is among an elite cadre of staffing/services firms that concentrate on matching client needs for contracts-procurement-supply chain project accomplishment, or staffing in those areas, with skilled professionals.
If you, or any of your readership would like to know how we can assist them, please contact me.

Great podcast, thank you very much indeed.
I whish Mr. Bill Michels could have talked a little more about the issues he is working on such as “lowcost country sourcing and finding the right location”. I am working at developping logistics and supply-chain investments in the western part of France and would have liked to have his comment… maybe on next edition ?
