Co-located with SEMICON West, the Global Summit for Advanced Manufacturing (GSAM) was conceived by professional manufacturers across multiple industry sectors that share a passion for manufacturing and recognize the need for a forum in which experts can share real-world, readily applicable information, ultimately speeding time to market for all. GSAM serves industry sectors ranging from electronics, technology and food to medical/pharmaceuticals, sports/leisure, textiles and more, all of which confront similar challenges in product design, manufacture and commercialization. GSAM is produced by the FlexTech Alliance, and its advisory committee comprises manufacturing experts at AGC Electronics America, Alent, Amazon, Continental Corp., GE Global Research, IBM, Jabil, Kyocera, Lockheed Martin and Panasonic. GSAM's inaugural summit will be held at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis on Wednesday, July 9, and Thursday, July 10, with optional Bay Area-based manufacturing facility tours taking place on Friday, July 11.
