Buys related apps from VAR ADS Information Systems
Indianapolis — September 13, 2004 — Enterprise software company Made2Manage Systems has purchased certain assets of ADS Software and ADS Information Systems (ADS), a former value-added reseller of Made2Manage Systems. Under the terms of the agreement, Made2Manage Systems acquired the intellectual property rights to Made2Manage-centric products formerly owned by ADS.
The intellectual property acquired from ADS comprises software designed to augment and extend the Made2Manage Enterprise Business System. Specific ADS-branded products include Interactive Form Editor (IFE), IFE Plus!, Enhance!, Enhance!Plus, General Ledger Detail Audit (GLDA) and Point of Sale (POS).
Jerry Staddon, vice president of development for Made2Manage Systems, said that Made2Manage Systems is committed to supporting the products acquired from ADS for the long term. "Decisions surrounding the long-term enhancement and direction of former ADS products will be part of an aggressive evaluation conducted by Made2Manage leadership team members and product experts over the next several months," Staddon said.
"The acquisition of the ADS products represents another example of Made2Manage Systems' ongoing commitment to maintain direct, proactive relationships with its manufacturing customers," said Jeff Tognoni, president and CEO of Made2Manage Systems. "Bringing these customers into our comprehensive network of professional support and services is the best way to help them achieve continuous value from their Made2Manage system investment."
Gary Forsberg, president of ADS, said, "I believe the transfer of the ADS products to Made2Manage has been a positive move for both companies, and we have been able to keep customer needs as the top priority."
